In our office in Joure we are looking for Mechanical Engineers who will be responsible for the executing of our (inter)national projects, as well as helping develop our systems and work methods for the future. As Mechanical Engineer you will be part of a project team, as the responsible engineer for all mechanical related subjects. You perform in this team from the basic design phase until the build-up at the customers site. Based on the P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) you engineer all the mechanical systems for a project. You manage, control and monitor the different processes during a project. You make requests for the mechanical system, monitor progress, quality and together with the Project Manager the costs. You carry out factory acceptance tests at the main suppliers. Based on checklists you report deviations to the Project Manager and keep track of the open action points. Together with the rest of the project team, you do everything it takes to deliver a product as well as possible for DMT and the customer within time and budget.
You facilitate our customer with operating instructions, procedures and maintenance procedures and you play an active role in starting up and putting our (inter)national installations into operation. In addition, you are able to discover and resolve causes of deviations, even if they do not have mechanical technical origin. You escalate problem situations at the right time.
You have a broad technical interest and you are perfectly capable of carrying out your work independently and in groups. You have a positive critical attitude with everything you do and you always go for a good result. You see it as a challenge to help DMT develop our products, to a cutting edge standard, helping us move into the future.
What do we ask of our Mechanical Engineers?
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent (e.g. through working experience);
- 2 – 5 years of engineering experience;
- Working experience within Biogas/Anaerobic Digestion, Waste/Wastewater Treatment, Oil & Gas or Agriculture industry is a plus;
- You are analytically strong, result and solution-oriented;
- Willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time;
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel;
- Good technical background in process engineering and instrumentation;
- You are in possession of VCA VOL;
- Sufficient knowledge of the Machinery Directive;
- You have a basic knowledge of ATEX and knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Isah.
